Canberra Youth Theatre’s Emerging Playwright Commission is a career-changing opportunity for an emerging playwright to create a play that brings the stories and voices of young people to the stage. At this special event, hear excerpts from three outstanding 2025 finalists from over 40 applicants around the country, showcasing the imagination of a new generation of writers. The winner will then be announced, receiving a full commission to develop a brand-new work that continues Canberra Youth Theatre's commitment to nurturing exceptional theatrical talent. The Emerging Playwright Commission is generously supported by Holding Redlich.
